Important Pertussis Update
Students entering 7th through 12th grades in the fall of 2011 need an additional vaccination before they can start school. State law now requires proof of a Tdap booster shot given on or after their 7th birthday. The law includes current, new and transfer students in both public and private schools. The Tdap booster vaccination helps prevent tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis and is currently stocked at our clinic. Health agencies are also encouraging adults to get a pertussis booster shot.
